With sunshine and temperatures in the 20s, the weather for Saturday’s Wonderland on Main event at the Promenade Saucon Valley will be suitably wintry, according to forecasters.
The event from 4 to 8 p.m. is described as a fire and ice festival featuring “dazzling winter enchantment…with breathtaking ice sculptures, fiery performances and family-friendly fun.”
According to the Promenade website, the following are part of this year’s event:
- Light-Up Ice Trail: Stroll down a sparkling Ice Trail featuring hand-carved ice sculptures located throughout the center. Scan the QR code at each ice sculpture for a chance to win a special prize worth up to $100.
- Ice Bar: Sip an alcoholic beverage at the Ice Bar near Doan Distillery (Suite 204, located across from Barnes & Noble).
- Kids Entertainment: Stop by the Patio for Ron Albanese’s one-of-a-kind show from 4 to 6 p.m.
- Fairy Hair & Character Visits: Swing by the Patio where Sweet & Sassy will be offering a glitter stamp or fairy hair. Meet some popular princesses for magical photo opportunities.
- Snow Zone Play Area: Located near the AMC Center Valley 16 theater, this winter wonderland is set up for both kids and “kids at heart.”
- Fire Dancing: Witness high-energy, jaw-dropping fire dancing performances in Town Square at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
- Glow Party: Grab a glow stick and get ready to party at Town Square from 6 to 8 p.m.
- LED Robot Entertainment: Head to Town Square to check out the 8 foot tall LED Dancing Robot from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.
- Face Painting: Bring the kids to enjoy festive face painting at Smartivities Showcase from 4 to 7 p.m.
- LED Performers: Watch as dazzling LED performers roam the center from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The Promenade Saucon Valley event will also include giveaways. When shoppers spend $50 or more at any of our stores, restaurants or service providers, they will receive a free blanket, according to the website, which lists other event giveaways.
