The Addams Family School Edition cast members snap their fingers as they perform the showās memorable theme song during the free dinner the Saucon Valley Performing Arts Association hosted for local senior citizens on opening night.
This weekend Saucon Valley High School is playing host to a talented group of young actors and crew members who are presenting The Addams Family School Edition as their spring 2025 theatrical production. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door for Friday and Saturdayās shows, both of which start at 6:30 p.m., as well as Sundayās matinee performance at 2 p.m.
Catered by Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech students, Thursdayās dinner menu was appropriately spooky.
All performances are in the high school auditorium and the community is encouraged to attend and support the students, who have spent months rehearsing.
The theater-filled weekend began with a free ādinner and a showā event for local seniors in the high school cafeteria. Presented each year by the Saucon Valley Performing Arts Association, over a hundred attendees enjoyed Thursdayās catered meal featuring Italian favorites like meatballs and chicken parmesan, plus desserts. In between courses, the cast members from The Addams Family appeared in costume and performed the showās theme song, which had dinner guests snapping their fingers. The entire meal was catered by Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech students and staffed by volunteers from SVSD clubs.
Following the dinner, guests walked to the schoolās auditorium to watch the opening night performance of The Addams Family.
The cast members filed in to perform at the dinner around 5:30 p.m., about an hour before the curtain rose on opening night of āThe Addams Family School Editionā at Saucon Valley High School.Cast members lined up at the front of the cafeteria to perform a song in between the main course and dessert service.The Addams Family School Edition is being performed at Saucon Valley High School through Sunday, March 13. Attendees then watched the opening night performance.On the dinner menu were salad, meatballs, sausage and peppers, penne with vodka sauce, garlic knots and chicken parmesan.Donation envelopes were available on tables, which were covered in tablecloths and had fresh floral arrangements on them.
