Saucon Valley area residents who have long wanted a Hallmark store to patronize locally are celebrating the news that one of the largest Hallmark Gold Crown retailers on the East Coast will soon be opening a store at the Promenade Saucon Valley.

Officials with the Upper Saucon Township retail center announced Thursday that Norman’s Hallmark is expected to open a 5,290 square foot store between Capital Blue Cross Connect and Bath & Body Works before the end of the year.

The Promenade Saucon Valley is a retail and destination center that is home to approximately 70 businesses. Located in Upper Saucon Township, the Promenade features dozens of shopping, dining, service and entertainment establishments.

“An employee-owned company with 85 years of experience, (Norman’s Hallmark) operates 100 locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland,” a news release said. “Beginning as a single Trenton, N.J., shop, the company has become a leader in the cards and gifting industry, featuring Hallmark cards for every occasion, Keepsake Ornaments and a wide selection of gifts, home décor, fashion, books, stationery, games and gourmet items. Partnering with popular brands such as Vera Bradley, Willow Tree, Mud Pie, Life is Good and Scout Bags, Norman’s provides memorable gifts for birthdays, weddings, holidays and everyday celebrations.”

Norman’s Hallmark has nearby locations in Allentown and Richland Township.

“Norman’s Hallmark has been interested in becoming part of Promenade Saucon Valley for many years,” Norman’s president and chief executive officer Howard Henschel said. “This is a high-quality lifestyle center in a phenomenal location with a quality assortment of nationally recognized restaurants and retailers. It’s an exciting place for us to be as we expand Norman’s store portfolio in the Lehigh Valley market.”

Color Me Mine recently opened, and other businesses that are expected to open in the near future at the Promenade Saucon Valley include Sephora in Spring 2026 and Barley Creek Brewing Company and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation this fall. Two businesses have also recently closed at the lifestyle center. Interior design and home store GailGray announced it was going out of business last month, and Bar Louie abruptly shut down its only location in the area over Labor Day weekend.
