Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

If youโ€™re a fan of Halloween and parades, you have a lot of local fun to look forward to this month.

One of the parades that will kick off the spooky season in the Lehigh Valley is the Coopersburg Halloween Parade, which will be held Sunday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. along Main Street in downtown Coopersburg. The parade will feature a variety of floats, costumed characters, marching bands, classic cars, fire trucks, police vehicles, and of course, lots of candy. The rain date for this yearโ€™s parade is Sunday, Oct. 19. More information may be found on the Coopersburg borough website or by emailing Sharon Porter at riu2524@yahoo.com.

The Hellertown Halloween Parade will be held Sunday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. in the borough of Hellertown and will also feature a variety of marching bands, floats, emergency vehicles, performers and civic groups. The theme for the 2025 parade is Celebrating Nonprofits, and prizes will be awarded by this yearโ€™s judges in various categories. The parade will begin and end at the Saucon Valley School District campus, off Panther Way. The route of the parade is along E. Walnut Street, Main Street, E. Water Street, Rentzheimer Drive, Durham Street and Constitution Avenue. There is no rain date for the Hellertown Halloween Parade, which is supported by local businesses and other sponsors, and organized by a volunteer committee led by Mayor David Heintzelman. This yearโ€™s parade will be followed by a community after-party from 3 to 6 p.m. in Dimmick Park featuring a performance by the Large Flowerheads, free hot dogs and water (while supplies last) and food trucks offering tasty options. For more information about the parade, visit and follow the Hellertown Halloween Parade Facebook page or email david@HFH4U.com. Attendees of the Saucon Valley Farmers Market should note that on Oct. 19 the market will be held from 9 a.m. to noon instead of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. because it is located along the parade route.

The Hellertown Post Office is also collecting donations of Halloween candy for its annual candy refill station.
