Hellertown Driver Allegedly Flees Troopers During Chase

A Hellertown woman allegedly fled from Pennsylvania State Police during a recent pursuit. 

Troopers from the Fogelsville barracks began pursuing a 2015 gold Volkswagen Passat on I-78 westbound in Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, at 11:07 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, according to a news release.

The pursuit was initiated due to alleged violations of the vehicle code, according to state police. Troopers said they chased the Volkswagen before calling off the pursuit.

The driver was identified by authorities as a 23-year-old Hellertown woman.

No charges have been filed in connection with the incident, but state police said they are investigating.
