John Vincent Parvel Jr. (1959 – 2025)

John Vincent Parvel Jr., 66, of Center Valley, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025. Born on Sept. 4, 1959, in Allentown, John lived a full and devoted life centered around family, hard work and passion for the things he loved most. A proud husband, father and grandfather, John was the heart of his family. He never missed an opportunity to be part of his daughters’ lives—whether coaching, cheering them on or volunteering. As a commissioner of their softball league and a teacher of karate and self-defense, John led by example, instilling the values of perseverance, commitment and family first. John retired in 2024 after a remarkable 37-year career with Air Products/Evonik, where his work ethic and loyalty were well-known and deeply respected. Outside of work, he lived life to the fullest, spending time golfing with friends and family, especially his son-in-law Jim, following the Eagles and Phillies, and traveling with his family. A former bodybuilder and Mr. Lehigh Valley winner (2005) and a fourth-degree black belt in karate, John’s strength was matched only by his compassion. He loved working out, playing sports with his grandson and celebrating every milestone in his grandchildren’s lives—school plays, games and everything in between. His presence was constant, his laughter unforgettable and his love unwavering. Those who knew John will remember his humor, kindness and devotion to family. He taught by example that life’s purpose is found in hard work, love and being there for the people who matter most.
