Telecom Wire Worth Thousands Reported Stolen

Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast are investigating the theft of approximately 250 feet of telecom wire owned by Verizon in Williams Township.
According to a Dec. 9 news release, the wire was reported stolen by a company representative on the morning of Dec. 1.
Police said the wire was removed from between two telephone poles in the area of Morgan Hill Road and Waltman Loop Lane.
They said the stolen wire and the cost of repairs by Verizon are estimated at approximately $10,000.
