Michael P. Karp (1961 – 2025)
Michael P. Karp, 64, of South Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025 in Breinigsville, Lehigh County. Born in Bethlehem, Lehigh County, on Sept. 5, 1961, Michael was a son of the late William Karp and Olga Chaszar Karp. Michael was employed as a General Superintendent in the construction industry, working with Meyer Property Services of Breinigsville and previously with Scheuermann Excavating Inc. of Whitehall. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. His life’s motto was tattooed across his chest: “Effort Equals Results.” In his free time, Michael enjoyed riding his Harley, finding peace and freedom on the open road. He also cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Eda, who was always by his side.
SURVIVORS
Michael is survived by his daughter, Tyra Karp, and grandson, Jasper, both of Texas; his recently adopted dog, Balto; his sisters, Beverly J. (Eric S.) Zaum of Cherry Hill, N.J., Lynn A. Kemmerer of Shippensburg and Lois M. (Timothy R.) Frey of Bethlehem; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, William Bruce Karp.
SERVICES
A visitation period to honor the life of Michael will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, PA 18055. The interment will be held privately at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Condolences may be shared at Heintzelmancares.com.
