Alvin Peter Miller (1939 – 2026)

Alvin Peter Miller, 86, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Kelleher) Miller, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Northampton on Sept. 25, 1939, Alvin was the son of the late David and Ellen (Warmkessel) Miller. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Alvin devoted more than 50½ years of his professional career to the Electrical Engineering Department at The Fuller Company/FL Smidth in Bethlehem, retiring after decades of dedicated service. A man of deep faith and community involvement, Alvin was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Miller Heights, Bethlehem. He generously gave his time as a Boy Scout Master and Leader of Troop 346, Minsi Trail, where he mentored countless young people. Alvin enjoyed camping, traveling, building large Lego creations and staying active through basketball, volleyball and golf. He especially loved dancing and was a loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his wife, Kathleen, he is survived by his children: Amber M. Leis of Bethlehem, Tyson S. (Karrie) Miller of Fountain Hill and Amanda L. (Carl Vorhauer) Miller of Easton; and his six cherished grandchildren: Hailey, Rayna, Zachary, Kadence, Willow and Xander. He was predeceased by several siblings.
SERVICES
Family and friends are invited to Alvin’s visitation period from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. with military honors immediately afterwards.
