UPDATE: Lower Saucon Man Who Was Missing Found Safe
Update: Lower Saucon Township Police said Monday evening that Rodney Reichard “was located and returned home safely.”
Authorities say an 89-year-old Lower Saucon Township man has been reported missing for the second time in as many weeks.
Township police are asking for the public’s help locating Rodney Reichard, who they said is considered endangered because he “may be at special risk of harm, injury, or may be confused.”
According to a post on the department’s Crimewatch site, Reichard was last seen in the area of Victor Road at approximately 8:30 p.m. Sunday, March 15.
Police said he is believed to be operating a 2013 white Volvo XC70 with Pennsylvania registration MWD1334. This information was also being displayed on electric signs on I-78 near the Hellertown (Rt. 412) exit Monday afternoon.
Reichard is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 185 pounds, with white hair. Photos of Reichard and the type of vehicle he is believed to be driving were included on a flyer police shared Monday.
Reichard previously disappeared on March 4, when township police issued a silver alert in an attempt to locate him. After reported sightings in Bethlehem and Hellertown, he was found safe the following day.
Anyone with information about Rodney Reichard’s whereabouts is asked to contact police by calling 911 or the Northampton County Communications non-emergency line at 610-759-2200. Tips can also be shared with township police by calling 610-317-6110 or via Crimewatch.
