Police Ask for Help ID’ing Driver Who Fled Traffic Stop

Lower Saucon Township Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who they say fled a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

According to a post published on the department’s Crimewatch site, the man was stopped at around 7:38 a.m. at Old Philadelphia Pike and Rt. 378.

Police said he then “quickly exited the vehicle and began questioning the officer prior to being approached.”

After getting back into the car he was driving, police said the unidentified man put it in reverse and fled south on Old Philadelphia “at a high rate of speed,” before turning onto Seidersville Road in the direction of Salisbury Township.

Police said a license plate visible in a dashcam image they shared “does not belong on the vehicle” the man was driving.

Anyone with information about the man is being asked to submit a tip via Crimewatch or to contact Ofc. Pritchard at 610-317-6110 or zpritchard@lowersaucontownship.org.
