Easter Events Attract Crowds Around Saucon Valley

Beautiful spring weather helped draw hundreds of people to the annual Saucon Valley Egg Hunt in Hellertown’s Dimmick Park Saturday morning. Nearby, at Promenade Saucon Valley, families stood in line at the stone gazebo next to Starbucks in the shopping center’s Town Square to visit and take photos with the Easter Bunny, who was quite busy the day before the holiday.

The Bunny also paid a visit to the egg hunt, which is a free event organized by volunteers from the Hellertown Historical Society. Occupying much of the park, the egg hunt is organized according to age ranges. The fast-paced scramble for eggs filled with candy and prize tickets began promptly at 10 a.m., and the frantic search for eggs was over within a few minutes.

The stone gazebo in Promenade Saucon Valley’s Town Square was decorated for Easter. Families lined up outside the gazebo to visit and take photos with the Easter Bunny Saturday.
