Eleonore S. Marschewski (1939 – 2026)

Eleonore S. Marschewski, 87, of Williams Township, Northampton County, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, May 14, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Uwe H. Marschewski, who died on Oct. 17, 2010. Born in New York City, N.Y., on Feb. 7, 1939, Eleonore was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Bechtner) Blashey. She dedicated her career as a secretary and bookkeeper for financial and law firms. Eleonore sold and collected princess house crystal and had a jewelry business along with a friend. Eleonore was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riegelsville. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening and had a deep love for cats.

SURVIVORS

She is survived by her son, Michael C. Marschewski, and his wife, Christina, of Williams Township; and her grandchildren, Alex, Alexa and Athena. Eleanore was predeceased by her daughter, Stephanie Koufalis.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to call from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 305 Delaware Road, Riegelsville, PA 18077. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. The interment will conclude services at Durham Cemetery, Durham, PA. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
