Carol L. Ziegler (1942 – 2026)

Carol L. Ziegler, 84, of Hellertown, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center in Richlandtown. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. “Bucky” Ziegler, who preceded her in death on March 1, 2024. Born in Fountain Hill on May 25, 1942, Carol was the cherished daughter of the late Richard I. and Elsie M. (Gackenbach) Masteller. Carol worked for many years in retail as a jewelry assistant, bringing her keen eye for detail to her work. Her true passion, however, lay in her incredible artistic talents and her deeply generous heart. An exceptionally skilled crafter, Carol created her own beautiful porcelain dolls and enjoyed painting, ceramics and pen-and-ink artistry. Most notably, Carol used her talents to give back to others, lovingly knitting over 5,000 hats for cancer patients throughout her lifetime. She was also a faithful member of the New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lower Saucon Township.
