James W. Minarovic (1940 – 2026)

James W. Minarovic, 86, formerly of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center. Born in Allentown on June 26, 1940, he was the beloved son of the late Frank and Ruth (Long) Minarovic. James faithfully served his country in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1964. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work as a street cleaner for the City of Allentown Public Works Department until his retirement. In his free time, James enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, particularly fishing, hunting and browsing local flea markets.

SURVIVORS

He is survived by his loving daughters: Melissa Laubach and her husband, Lee, of Easton, who cared for him for many years in his home, and Mary Ebinger of Fenwick Island, Del.; his sisters: Dolores Kontier and her husband, John, of Whitehall, and Kathy Luisser of Allentown; and three cherished grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings: Thomas, June and Ruth.
