L. Saucon Township Manager to Retire in a Year
Lower Saucon Township Manager Jack Cahalan announced publicly at township councilās meeting Monday that he intends to retire at the end of 2015.
Cahalan has been township manager for 13 years, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the township.
Councilman David Willard called Cahalanās decision to announce his retirement a year in advance āvery professional,ā and asked him to consider putting together a āsuccession planā in the upcoming months, to help with the transition.
Cahalan agreed to do that.

During his tenure at Lower Saucon Township, Cahalan has played a leading role in the development of many locally significant projects, such as the Saucon Rail Trail and Polk Valley Park.
