2 Charged With Trespassing at Old Champion Spark Plug Factory

Two individuals were charged with trespassing after police say they illegally entered an old spark plug factory in Hellertown July 13.

In a news release issued Monday, police said Albrekht Vladislav, no permanent address, and Emily Rivera, of the 200 block of Gross Drive, Glen Gardner, N.J., were inside the vacant former Champion spark plug  factory at 1770 Main Street shortly after 9:30 p.m. when they set off a burglar alarm.

“They (were) apprehended outside the building as police arrived and were charged with criminal trespass,” police said in the news release.

According to Northampton County property records, the former factory–which occupies nearly eight acres and is a former Superfund site–is owned by Paikes Enterprises Inc. of Quakertown.
