Coroner: Fountain Hill Man One of Three Killed in Crash

A 61-year-old man from Fountain Hill has been identified as one of three people killed in a car accident in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, over the weekend.

According to Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio, Jeffrey Pichel was pronounced dead Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. The other two people killed in the crash–who were both pronounced dead at the scene–have been identified as 21-year-old Vannity I. Colon of Allentown and 19-year-old Israel Medina of New York City.

News releases issued by Buglio’s office stated that the crash happened around 3 p.m. Sunday in the area of Rt. 309 and Gun Club Road.

He said autopsies on all three victims will be conducted Tuesday. Following the autopsies, Buglio said he will release the cause and manner of death for each person.

In addition to the coroner’s office, state police at Fogelsville and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office are investigating the accident.
