Expect ‘Some Delays’ for LST Road Resurfacing Project
Seventeen Lower Saucon Township roads will be resurfaced beginning Wednesday, June 11, and township officials say motorists can expect some interference with their regular driving routines if they encounter crews at work on the project.
“This is a fast-moving operation, but some delays are unavoidable,” said a Nixle alert sent to township subscribers Tuesday.
The following township roads are part of the chip seal project, according to a document shared as part of the alert:
• Saucon Valley Road between Bingen Road and Apple Tree Lane
• Waldheim Road between Wimmer Road and Apples Church Road
• Black River Road between Fire Lane and Evergreen Drive
• Lower Saucon Road between Silver Creek Road and the Springfield Township line
• Old Philadelphia Pike between Walter Street and the cul-de-sac
• Bergstresser Drive between Wassergass Road and Drifting Drive
• Polk Valley Road between Reservoir Road and Overlook Drive
• Banko Lane between Fawn Lane and the Springfield Township line
• Wirth Road between Wassergass Road and the dead end
• Wydnor Avenue between Black River Road and the dead end
• Trotter Lane between Wydnor Avenue and the cul-de-sac
• Raders Lane West between Rt. 378 and the cul-de-sac
• Countryside Lane between Easton Road and Countryside Lane
• Camac Avenue between East University Avenue and the dead end
• Connelly Avenue between Mountain Drive South and East University Avenue
• Cemetery Lane between Easton Road and the dead end
• Apple Street between Alpine Drive and Lower Saucon Road
According to the township, approximately 6.34 miles of road will be surfaced as part of the project, at a cost of nearly $375,000.
