Richlandtown Man Sentenced to State Prison for Shooting at Food Delivery Driver

A Richlandtown man will serve 4 to 10 years in state prison for firing a bullet at a DoorDash delivery driver a year-and-a-half ago.

Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan’s office announced last week that on the night of March 22, 2025, Keilan Marshal McKeever, 33, became “irate” and started screaming when he felt his delivery took too long. After his food was handed to him, they said he followed the 19-year-old delivery driver from his home near 1st Avenue and Cherry Street back to the driver’s vehicle nearby.

“As the delivery driver began driving away, McKeever fired a shot at the vehicle,” the news release said. “The bullet penetrated the vehicle near the rear window, shattering the glass and sending debris and metal fragments into the delivery driver’s hair.”

Authorities said the man wasn’t injured, drove off and called 911 to report what had just happened.

Investigators later recovered bullet fragments from his hair that matched the characteristics of the H&K 9mm handgun they seized from McKeever’s home during a search conducted by state police.

According to the DA’s office, the driver is a college student who at the time of the shooting was delivering food to supplement his income.

“This was a completely unprovoked and terrifying act of violence against a young man who was simply doing his job,” Khan said. “No one working in our community should ever have to fear for their life while trying to earn an honest living. This sentence sends a clear message that violent, reckless behavior with a firearm will not be tolerated in Bucks County.”

McKeever had previously entered an open guilty plea in June to two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of possession of a weapon, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

In addition to the prison sentence, Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr also ordered him to pay approximately $2,300 in restitution to the victim and to undergo a mental health evaluation.
