Although the awards presented by the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce’s Honors & Hors D’oeuvres event at Steel Club Thursday went to an individual, a nonprofit and three businesses, the theme of the honors bestowed upon the five recipients was clearly “community.”
The Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its biggest event of the spring season: its Honors & Hors D’oeuvres celebration April 11 at 5:30 p.m. at Steel Club. A limited number of tickets are still available.
You’ve probably heard of a Bookmobile, but have you ever heard of a “book bike?” The Hellertown Area Library is trying to raise $4,000 to purchase a book bike, which will be used by children’s librarian Andrea Milliren to take books and storytimes into borough neighborhoods.
The Hellertown Area Library announced that there will be two vacancies on the library’s Board of Trustees effective Dec. 31. One must be a resident of either Hellertown Borough or Lower Saucon Township to apply.
