The Hellertown American Legion, Edward H. Ackerman Post 397, will hold its Memorial Day Service Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Union Cemetery in Hellertown.
The City of Bethlehem said Thursday that it has mailed letters to all 37,000 of its water customers regarding the status of their water service lines. The letters are part of the city’s efforts to comply with updated US EPA regulations on lead service lines.
Local veterans were honored and thanked during a Veterans Day ceremony sponsored by the Hellertown American Legion Post 397 at Union Cemetery Monday.
Over 100 people attended Sunday's Memorial Day service in Hellertown's Union Cemetery, during which Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397 Commander Eric Medei exhorted them to remember the sacrifices made by the men and women who have defended the United States and the freedoms its citizens enjoy.
A number of municipalities and organizations throughout the area will be hosting observances this weekend, some of which were highlighted in a Northampton County news release Monday.
