Forecasters say a messy winter storm will bring a combination of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain to eastern Pennsylvania and the Saucon Valley.
The National Weather Service says the growing season in the Saucon Valley and much of eastern Pennsylvania is likely about to end due to a freeze.
Saucon Valley residents can expect two to four inches of snow followed by sleet and up to a quarter inch of ice before a changeover to rain occurs sometime Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Although it's been weeks since the mercury in the Lehigh Valley has dropped much below freezing--and recent record highs have made it feel more like October than December--the National Weather Service says residents should prepare for the first significant frozen precipitation of the season Monday night and early Tuesday.
