Kitchen, Bath Design Center to Open in Hellertown

Members of the Hellertown Planning Commission Wednesday unanimously approved a plan for a kitchen and bath design center in the former Kasey Lynn’s cafe at 1308 Main St.

Maui Kitchens Inc. owner David Iacovone said the store will sell custom kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, and “there’s not much more to tell.”

He plans to install an outdoor sign similar in size to the one that hung outside Kasey Lynn’s, which closed late last year.

Iacovone said that while he hasn’t decided on his hours yet, the store will most likely be open seven days a week, as well as a couple of evenings.

“I have no comments or questions. It seems pretty straightforward,” commented planner Joe Pampanin.

The building that will house Maui Kitchens is also home to Pondelek’s Florist & Gifts, and there’s a shared parking area behind it.

According to the website for Maui Kitchens, the company offers “a wide range of full-scope architectural interior design and planning services that can be customized to meet your needs. Our team works directly with you to come to the best solution for your home.”

The business also has a Facebook page.
