Lehigh Valley’s First Whole Foods Opens Wednesday With Doorbuster Deals

The first Whole Foods supermarket in the Lehigh Valley will open at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 in the Hamilton Crossings shopping center on N. Krocks Road, just off Rt. 222 (Hamilton Boulevard) in Lower Macungie Township.
The store will throw open its doors to eager shoppers at 9 a.m., following an 8:45 a.m. bread-breaking opening ceremony. There will be a variety of first day and first week “doorbuster” deals (see flyers below), such as:
- Parmigiana Reggiano cheese aged 24 months for $9.99/lb. (save $10/lb., cut pieces only) – Sept. 28 only
- Thirty percent off all body care products including hair care, cosmetics, facial care, body care, bath products, essential oils and more – Sept. 28 only
- Rotisserie chicken (whole chickens only, excluding organic) for $5 each (save $3.99) – Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Tuesday, Oct. 4
- Organic French baguettes baked in house for 99 cents each (save $2.30) – Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Tuesday, Oct. 4
The Allentown Whole Foods store will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and feature a coffee bar, a cafe/beerhall called The Foundry that will serve craft brews, and local/seasonal products in all of its departments, according to an email announcement.
Whole Foods will soon be joined by warehouse club Costco in the shopping center, which is already home to Target, Nordstrom Rack and other national retailers.
