Warren Russell Gross, 89, Formerly of Hellertown (OBITUARY)

Warren Russell Gross, 89, formerly of Hellertown, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at Country Meadows of Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Phyllis K. (Kichline) Gross (died Dec. 19, 2005). He was born in Riegelsville on June 4, 1925 to the late Warren and Rosa (Strock) Gross. Warren served our country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He worked for 20 years for Air Products as a corporate pilot until retiring in 1985, and was a private flight instructor. He was a member of Lower Saucon United Church of Christ, Hellertown and had served on its consistory.

SURVIVORS

Children: David W. (Susan) Gross of Plano, Tex., Deborah S. (Gordon) Fiegel of Hellertown, Jeffrey A. (Charlotte) Gross of Emmaus, Daniel J. Gross (Barbara J. Maurer) of Malvern, Melinda L. (Frank Jr.) Fabian of Lexington Park, Md.; sister: Arlene Kinsey of Sellersville; a faithful friend: Pauline Lerch of Coopersburg; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter: Sheila A. Case; a grandson: Nathan Gross; sisters: Virginia Krizan and Kay Lowman.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
