Est. Read Time: < 1 min

Lower Saucon Township Police say a Whitehall woman who was involved in an accident in the 2200 block of Silver Creek Road early Tuesday will be cited for allegedly driving at an unsafe speed and for not wearing a seat belt.

In a news release, police said Dayanna Sanchez, of the 4300 block of Main Street, was westbound on Silver Creek Road when the accident happened shortly after 7:30 a.m.

Police said the road was snow-covered at the time.

Sanchez lost control of her car before striking a tree along the road’s shoulder, and was later taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital for treatment after she complained of minor injuries, police said.

Southeastern Fire Dept. and Dewey Ambulance assisted at the scene of the crash, they added.
