Hellertown Police say a Massachusetts woman was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after she summoned police assistance by calling 911 from her car while she was in the parking lot of borough police headquarters on the evening of Nov. 21.

In a news release issued Tuesday, police said Linda Nitzsche, of Park Street, North Reading, Mass.,”requested an officer respond to give directions.”

When an officer did respond, police said he “noted that the odor of burnt marijuana came from (Nitzsche’s) vehicle.”

“Further investigation yielded a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia,” police added.
