Lower Saucon Township Police said Friday that a Center Valley man was taken to St. Luke’s University Hospital for treatment of “what appeared to be a dislocated left thumb” following an accident in which he was involved Wednesday night at Rt. 378 and Seidersville Road.

In a news release, police said the accident occurred at 8:06 p.m., when a 17-year-old boy who was southbound on Rt. 378 attempted to turn left onto Seidersville as two other vehicles were northbound and approaching the intersection.

Police said the boy turned into and struck the side of one of the vehicles. The third vehicle–which was driven by a Bethlehem woman–attempted to stop, but slid into the two other cars, which both had to be towed from the scene.

The teen driver will be cited for allegedly failing to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left, police stated.
