Lower Saucon Township Police said Thursday they are investigating the theft of a check from a mailbox outside a home in the 1500 block of Bette Lane.

Lower Saucon Township Police said Thursday they are investigating the theft of a check from a mailbox outside a home in the 1500 block of Bette Lane, which is in the Saddle Ridge development.

According to a post published on the department’s Crimewatch site, the theft happened Tuesday, May 14 at approximately 9:26 a.m.

Police said that’s when an unidentified individual drove up in a dark grey sedan and took the check, which they said “was subsequently altered and cashed.”

The post included two images of the suspect’s vehicle.

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact Detective Corporal Eric Marth at 610-625-8722 or em****@lo*****************.org or submit a tip through Crimewatch.

  • Must be someone who knew a check was coming in the mail, people don’t always get checks in the mail kinda suspicious to me.

  • With all the cameras that are setup in public locations, especially banks, the person and their car’s tag should be publicized and easy to recognize.
