Albert Solosky, 92, of Lower Saucon Township, died Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at his residence. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.

Albert Solosky, 92, of Lower Saucon Township, died Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at his residence.Albert Solosky He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Wingert) Solosky, who died July 27, 2017. He was born in Bethlehem Township to the late James and Julia (Szabo) Solosky. He was a service technician for the former Sears Roebuck Company for 32 years before retiring in 1993. Albert served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Constabulary in Berlin, Germany. He was the Adjutant for the Hellertown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3094 for eight years and had been its Historian since 1995. He was a member of the Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397, Hellertown, where he was on the Firing Squad for Veterans Services. He also belonged to the AMVETS, the U.S. Constabulary Association and the Berlin U.S. Military Veterans Association. He was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township.

SURVIVORS

Albert is survived by his children: Daniel L. of Easton, Glen W. (Donna J.) of Hellertown, Stephen B. (Stephanie L.) of Coopersburg, Patricia A. (David) Kutzura of Lower Saucon Township, Bonnie R. Aranyos (John Dresher) of Freemansburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son: Michael A. in 1957; and a brother: Elmer.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to his visitation period from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The visitation period will be followed by the service at 1 p.m. Military honors will be accorded by the Edward H. Ackerman American Legion Post 397 at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
