Joan Josephine Hawkins, 83, of Northampton (OBITUARY)

Joan Josephine Hawkins, 83, of Northampton, left us too soon on Feb. 7, 2015 while surrounded by her adoring family. She was the wife of the late William Mark Hawkins, who died Jan. 26, 2005. Joan was born in Newark, N.J., on Dec. 15, 1931 to the late Owen and Mary (Joyce) Murray. She was an antique dealer for 25 years until she earned a retirement filled with love, laughter and her faithful poodle, Fifi.

Children: William M. of Milanville, Bonnie J. Stewart (James) of Pittsford, Vt., Barbara J. Kline of Northampton, Robert K. (Jane) of Allentown, Rebecca J. (partner JoAnn Eberle) of Pompton Plains, N.J., Elizabeth J. McDonald (Patrick Lombardo) of Clarks Summit, Pa., Brendan J. (Tara) of Williamsburg, Va., Brenda J. Haas (Paul) of Bethlehem; four siblings: William (Gladys) of Lancaster, Mary of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Francis of Cranford, N.J., Charles (Arlene) of Lavallette, N.J.; 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

SERVICE

The private service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
