The Saucon Valley JV and JH wrestling teams proved they can “walk the walk” when it comes to hanging with the bigger schools in District XI.
Over the weekend, the JV team finished ninth out of 28 teams at East Stroudsburg South High School and were named the AA champions. Abe Lugo (2nd Place), Bryan Galdo (3rd Place) and Stephen Good (5th Place) paced the Panthers to their great finish. Easton, the AAA champion, finished first overall in the two-day tournament.
Eighth-graders Josh Jones (1st Place) and Justin Kyra (2nd Place) along with seventh-graders Dane Csencsits (6th Place) and Thomas Spirk (6th Place) earned some hardware too as they led Saucon Valley to a tenth place finish out of 43 teams at Parkland High School in the junior high division. Easton was, again, first overall.
