William J. Stankus Sr., 76, of Bethlehem Twp. (OBITUARY)

William J. Stankus Sr., 76, of Bethlehem Township died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Amelia Y. (Bilan) Stankus. He was born in Bethlehem on Sept. 11, 1938 to the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Kauker) Stankus. William served our country faithfully in the U.S. Army during peacetime. He worked as a technician in the Test Department for PPL, Allentown. William was a member of Our Lord’s Ascension Polish National Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his wife of 58 years; son: William J. Stankus Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev. He was predeceased by a daughter, Helen E. Taylor (died Oct. 6, 2001), and a brother, James.

SERVICE

There will be a private graveside service at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. There will be no calling hours. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
