A unique fashion show planned for Saturday, April 18 at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley will help raise awareness about organ donation.

“Fashion 4 Life 5” will be co-presented by the Lehigh Valley Coalition for Organ and Tissue Donation and Gift of Life Donor Program at 11:30 a.m., and will be followed by an after party at Melt restaurant’s Level 3 lounge at 12:30 p.m.

The fashion show featuring WZZO DJ Samantha Layne will help “to increase awareness of the continuing need for organ donors, while raising funds for the coalition’s outreach and education programs,” according to the Gift of Life website.

Clothing and accessories will be provided by Promenade Shops merchants, and will be modeled by members of the transplant community, including recipients of organs or tissues and donor family members.

Advance tickets to the event are $25, and can be purchased online.

The show is also being supported by Lehigh Valley Style magazine.

The Lehigh Valley Coalition for Organ and Tissue Donation is an alliance of area donor families, organ/tissue transplant recipients, representatives of local hospitals and affiliated health organizations and other interested volunteers.

The group develops community outreach programs in the Lehigh Valley area to increase public awareness of the critical shortage of organ and tissue donors.
