An animal-friendly event that’s designed to help local shelters and pet advocacy organizations raise awareness is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Center Valley.

“Paws at the Promenade” will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature activities for dogs (and their owners), “dog-friendly shopping,” special activities and treats at various stores.

Below is a schedule of events shared by the Promenade Shops:

Coffee & Doga | 10 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.
Instructor Andrea Raab from Moondog Yoga will instruct yoga with your dog behind Diva Nails with free coffee provided by Starbucks. $10 per class (cash only). Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. behind Diva Nails. All proceeds benefit Home at Last Dog Rescue.

WiggleWalk | 11 a.m.
Take a stroll with your pup for a good cause! Participate in a self-guided, charity WiggleWalk around the center, sponsored by Athleta, which begins at 11 a.m. Follow the route around the center and enjoy event activities, as well as dog-friendly shopping all day. $5 minimum donation per person before the event, $10 minimum donation per person the day of the event. All proceeds benefit local animal shelters. Register online or at the Management Office (behind Subway).

Adopt-a-PALooza | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Visit with a variety of local animal shelters and other pet-related organizations near Barnes & Noble.

Kids & K9s Costume Contest | 12 p.m.
Kids can participate in a fun, free costume contest with their pooch! Judging will take place at the Patio Food Court and will be hosted by WLEV. The winner will receive a special prize from Carmike Theater.

QNB Free Giveaway | 1 p.m.
Enjoy a free gift from QNB at the Patio Food Court.

Fido Photos | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Get a free 5×7 keepsake print of you and your dog, courtesy of Dan’s Camera City (near Barnes & Noble).

Paint with your Pet | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Hosted by Color Me Mine in the Adopt-a-PALooza Area
Choose either a plate or medium-sized pet bowl and print your pet’s paw on it with non-toxic, water washable paint. Click here for more details.
