Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating a burglary in the 2700 block of Buttermilk Road in which a green safe with brass knobs, miscellaneous farm tools and a sickle bar mower were reportedly stolen.

In a news release issued Sunday, police said the burglary was reported Saturday, May 2, but actually occurred two weeks earlier according to the property owner.

Police said wooden beams were cut and a lock was pried off a door to access a barn, a lock was twisted off a wooden block to gain access to a shed, and the man’s house was entered through a door.

“It is unknown how the door was opened,” police said.

The total estimated value of the stolen items is $1150.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call township police at 610-317-6110.
