A Lower Saucon Township woman was charged via mail with possession of a small amount of marijuana May 4 after police say she lit and began smoking a marijuana cigarette while speaking to township officers near Reading Drive and Valerie Lane.

In a news release issued Monday, police said that after officers were dispatched for a report of a “suspicious female walking through yards in the area” shortly after 11 a.m., they found Carmen Agramonte, 43, of the 1900 block of Leithsville Road sitting under a tree along Reading Drive, where they approached her.

Police said the alleged joint was seized.
