Howard Martin Reiss, 89, of Mena, Ark., formerly of Hellertown, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at CHI St. Vincent Healthcare, Hot Springs, Ark. He was the husband of Arlene M. (Griffith) Reiss. He was born in Hellertown on June 12, 1925 to the late Howard William and Anna Amelia (Schaffer) Reiss. Howard worked as a car repairman for 27 years for the PB&NE Railroad at the former Bethlehem Steel until retiring in 1986. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mena, Ark.
SURVIVORS
In addition to his loving wife of 64 years; children: Kathy M. Rook of Mena, Ark., Carl Howard Reiss of Gilmer, Tex.; several brothers and sisters; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by several siblings.
SERVICE
Private services will be held at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, followed by the interment at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
