Woman Lost Control of Car While Reaching for Cigarettes, Police Say

A Bethlehem woman was cited by Lower Saucon Township Police for allegedly driving at an unsafe speed after authorities say she lost control of her car on Wassergass Road while reaching for a pack of cigarettes that was inside her purse.

According to police, Amber Wismer, 29, of the 200 block of E. Raspberry Street, hit a parked car in the 2400 block of Wassergass Road in the accident, which reportedly happened at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said both vehicles suffered disabling damage.
