A Bethlehem man was cited for careless driving after Lower Saucon Township Police say he caused an accident at the intersection of Rt. 412 (Leithsville Road) and Meadows Road Saturday.

In a news release, police said Michael Heunermund, of the 1500 block of Butztown Road, was northbound on Rt. 412 shortly before 2 p.m. when he rear-ended a vehicle driven by a township woman who had stopped to turn left onto Meadows.

The impact from the collision pushed the Lower Saucon woman’s car into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by an Allentown woman, police said.

Police didn’t say if there were any injuries or what type of damage resulted from the crash.
