Car Sideswiped Near Saucon Square, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township say they want to identify the driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Rt. 378 near the Saucon Square shopping center Wednesday night.

In a news release issued Friday, police said a car driven by a township woman was in the southbound left turn lane while she waited to turn into the center’s entrance.

At that time, an unidentified northbound driver sideswiped it and continued north toward the city of Bethlehem, police said.

Police said the offending vehicle was described as a white Nissan Maxima or Altima sedan.

The accident happened at 9:42 p.m.

Anyone with information about it is asked to call Lower Saucon Township police at 610-317-6110.
