Lower Saucon Township Police say a Moore Township man was cited for following the vehicle in front of him too closely after he allegedly sneezed and struck the back of it.

In a news release issued Friday, police said James Shirer, of the 200 block of S. Egg Road, was traveling behind a Bethlehem man on Rt. 378 near Colesville Road shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday when the crash occurred.

“Upon investigating it was determined that Shirer had sneezed twice while in stop-and-go traffic, and after the second sneeze his vehicle struck the vehicle in front of him,” police said.
