Retire Old U.S. Flags at Boy Scout Ceremony

Boy Scout Troop 364 has announced that it is collecting old, tattered and soiled U.S. flags for a formal retirement ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at Southern Lehigh Living Memorial Park (under the flagpole) at Rt. 309 and Fairmount Street in Coopersburg. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.

Please place flags you would like to have retired in collection bins at the Hellertown post office, 660 Delaware Ave., Hellertown, and the Hellertown Area Library, 409 Constitution Ave., Hellertown. Please note that the collection bin at the library will likely be moved to the Lower Saucon Township municipal building, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, on Oct. 20 when the library closes for renovations.
