Thomas F.  McLaughlin, 73 of Lower Saucon Township, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born in New York, N.Y., on Nov. 14, 1941 to the late Frederick C. and Emma J. (Horn) McLaughlin. He was a 1959 graduate of the Hill School, Pottstown, and a 1963 graduate of Dartmouth University. Tom worked for Bethlehem Steel as the Vice President of Labor Relations for 22 years. After the Steel, he worked as an actor for 22 years doing voiceovers before turning his talents to on-camera work, filming many local commercials and training films for doctors, lawyers and the like. One of his greatest accomplishments was appearing in the movie “The Sixth Sense” starring Bruce Willis. He was an avid pool and tennis player, loved travel, the beach, and singing and playing his guitar. Tom played in a folk music group comprised mainly of neighbors.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his partner of over 20 years, Maureen Lesniak at home; sons: Thomas C. of Branford, Conn., James S. (Shannon C.) of Waldorf, Md.; six grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his brother, Bob N.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. Immediately following the service, Tom’s last wish is for all family and friends to attend a luncheon and raise a glass of Guinness at a celebratory Irish wake at the Meadows Grove, Hellertown. The interment will take place at a later date at the Genola Cemetery, Long Island, N.Y. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Alpha 1 Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33134. Alternatively memorials may be made to VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Ste. 200, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
