Picture a place filled with books of all different genres! Now imagine a table covered in bookmarks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners and any school supplies that a kid could ever want! This is the Saucon Valley Middle School Scholastic Book Fair. Whenever we hear the Book Fair is coming, we get so excited to go and browse the books for new adventures to love.
A little window shopping?
If you think about it, the Scholastic Book Fair is a lot like the holiday seasons. You can feel the excitement inside for this once-a-year celebration. All across the country, for children who love to read, this is a cherished event that opens doors to new discoveries. Kids wandering through the brightly colored store displays full of the latest and greatest toys, is a lot like browsing the Book Fair shelves. Rushing home to make a list of all of the fun things that they long to have is just like telling their parents about the new and exciting books they found in the vast rows of novels. When the time comes to buy, it is very similar to Black Friday. Kids come streaming into the Book Fair and dart straight toward the books they wish to purchase. Then, when they finally get home and sit down to read the books, it is like opening up your presents on that special morning!
The 2015 SVMS Book Fair is here with a great selection of items!
This year, the Book Fair will be held in room B203, next to the library, during school hours. It will take place from Nov. 17 through Nov. 23. It will also be open during parent teacher conferences. There will be many parent and student volunteers to help you with anything you need. Any checks should be made out to “SVMS.”
