A Nazareth woman was issued a speeding citation after police say she crashed into a tree along Bingen Road between Coal Yard and Old Mill roads in Lower Saucon Township Thursday.

Lower Saucon Township Police said a Nazareth woman was cited following a single vehicle accident on Bingen Road between Coal Yard and Old Mill roads Thursday.

A Nazareth woman was issued a speeding citation after police say she crashed into a tree along Bingen Road between Coal Yard and Old Mill roads in Lower Saucon Township Thursday afternoon.

According to a township police department news release issued Friday, Rachel Smith, of the first block of South Street, was northbound on Bingen Road at 12:48 p.m. “when her vehicle veered off the side of the road, swiping two trees and striking one head on.”

Police added that Smith received “non-life-threatening injuries” in the crash.
