Gladys V. Schrantz, 87, of Leithsville, Lower Saucon Township, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s.
She was the wife of Elmer C. Schrantz. She was born in Faith, S.D., on Sept. 25, 1928 to the late George S. and Jenny K. (Norris) Thatcher. She was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon. Gladys was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, N.J., and was a member of the band. She enjoyed bird and deer-watching, being with her family and listening to Jolly Joe Timmer.
SURVIVORS
In addition to her loving husband of 63 years; children: Larry J. (Sharon L.) of Macungie, Gail L. Stair, Edwin M. (Betty M.), both of Lower Saucon Township; sister: Dolores Yeisley of Phillipsburg, N.J.; six grandchildren: Yvette, Stephen, Gary, Jimmy, Ian and Ali; and one great-grandson: Isaiah.
SERVICE
