Several motorists recently received citations following accidents in Lower Saucon Township, police said in separate news releases issued over the past few days.
- On Feb. 2 at 10:17 p.m. police said Emily Keck, 37, of the 100 block of Young Avenue, Coopersburg, was backing out of a driveway in the 1800 block of Leithsville Road when she allegedly failed to yield to right-of-way oncoming traffic. Police said Keck’s car was struck by a 65-year-old Quakertown woman and both vehicles sustained “light damage.” There were no reported injuries. Keck was cited for limitations on backing, for a vehicle entering or crossing a roadway violation and for failure to have insurance, police said.
- On Feb. 5 at 7:49 p.m. police said Bridget Harding, of the first block of N. Cherry Lane, Rumson, N.J., was southbound on Rt. 378 near the Saucon Square plaza traffic light when traffic began to slow/stop. “Harding was unable to stop her vehicle prior to striking (the vehicle in front of her) in the rear,” police said. Police said Harding was cited for allegedly failing to operate her vehicle at a safe speed.
- On Feb. 7 at 6:42 p.m. police said Robert Skuba, of the 1500 block of Woodfield Drive, Lower Saucon, was northbound on Bingen Road when he attempted to turn left onto Hickory Hill Road and turned “in front of an oncoming vehicle, causing an accident.” Police said one of the two cars had to be towed from the scene, and Skuba was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
