The Lower Saucon Township Historical Society will host a “Beatles Night” fundraiser at Silver Creek Country Club on Friday, April 8 from 7 to 11 p.m., with proceeds to benefit the ongoing restoration of the historic Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse in the township.
Specifically, the money from the event will be earmarked for the one-room fieldstone schoolhouse’s repointing. The school, which was built in 1880, is located on Countryside Lane and is maintained by the historical society as a living history museum.
Beatles Night will feature a live cover band performing popular Beatles tunes while the lyrics of their songs are displayed on a large screen (for easy singing along), as well as a silent auction.
Tickets are $25 each and include light appetizers, gourmet pizza and soft drinks.
Dining and a cash bar will be available at the club.
Tickets are available for purchase at the Hellertown Area Library, 409 Constitution Ave., Hellertown, and the Lower Saucon Township municipal building, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
